In high school, I was a year-round athlete - swimming and track. They don't teach much nutrition in high school, at least not much outside of the good ole nutrition pyramid. So after I graduated high school, I started experiencing pretty rough health issues (come to find out due to NOT knowing good nutrition!). I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and knew I needed to make some changes. After being told that I should go on medicine for the rest of my life to keep my UC under control, I decided to try fixing my health before I went on the medicine. I did research and learned that diet and fitness were huge factors in keeping me healthy! So I started with the building blocks. Enter, CrossFit. I got my health and fitness into check thanks to the coaches at Like Water and I have been in remission ever since. I was approached about becoming a nutrition coach and I knew this was a good calling for me! I knew I had the passion to help others figure out their health and nutrition and to become the best versions of themselves -- fast forward 3 years of nutrition coaching, I love helping people learn the "ins and outs" of nutrition so they can FEEL better, have energy and understand how to do the things they need to do to continue to feel great for the long run!
